Did it! 30 models in 30 (work)days. Inspired by several artists doing daily sketches and this guy who did 30 espresso cups in 30 days, I started on January 23 and finally finished model nr. 30 very late Friday. I spend more time on the project then expected, some of the models where a bit to ambitious for a project running next to work and every day life.
I deliberately tried to use new functions and tool I normally avoid, so I really learned a lot. And I finally became familiar with the new navigation in Cinema4D r13. It was defiantly worth all the long days/nights.

I need a stand for the iPad, so my model a day project the past 2 days have been an iPad and a stand. To match my pencil holder I made it out of different rulers. It’s going to be cut in 3mm plywood and the scales laser etched.
I hop to to cut the first prototype durring March together with a few other projects.
First 20 models are done in my little “30 models in 30 days project”. This Fridays model was an iPhone with geometry prepared for deformation. So my Friday project was a few tests bending and twisting the model and ended up with the iBallon picture when I started to play with the simulation i C4d.

Artists often start the day with some warm up drawings – and if its working for them, why not try that in 3d too.
The idea is to start every (work)day with a model for 30 days. The first 10 days went really well and I learned a lot by using functions / techniques I normally don’t use that much. It’s been taking longer then expected, so the next weeks will probably be more regular speed modelling.
